Introducing ‘The Capes Guidebook’ covers the Cape to Cape Track in Western Australia and runs from the north to the south. This track is along the stunning coastline of south west, Western Australia between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin and just under 130 km.
The Capes Guidebook is a pocket-sized book that can be easily be brought along with you on your journey. It has been divided into 8 sections (days), each section providing a summary of the day ahead as well as the km followed by a brief description. The cumulative km is also provided, and it is easy for any hiker to adjust sections accordingly to their time and needs. There is also a terrain profile providing the hiker with what’s to be expected each day.
This is a hike that will have the walker experiencing some of the most spectacular breath-taking coastal terrain of rugged cliffs and sandy white beaches, coastal heath-lands as well as some beautiful karri forests. One can experience the hike in sections from day walks to even walking the full track over a period of a week.
Having walked this track many times and recently twice whilst filming, this has been such a fun project for me to do and I’m excited to share it with you all.

*New Trail Markers!
Over the hiking season of April to June of 2019 the Trail Markers of the Cape to Cape have been upgraded and given a whole new look! I have to say I think they are amazing and I am excited to share what they look like with you.
Friends of the Cape to Cape and Park and Wildlife have done a great job at getting them developed and out on the track and I feel the change over has been done very smoothly.
The logo of the new markers is so much more modern and up to date with the feel of the track and they are now a directional marker so that will eliminate any confusion of which way to go.
I have updated the Guidebook with the image of the new markers however the original book is still current as the trail is exactly the same just different markers to follow.

Reviews –
The Capes Guidebook was a real asset on my recent C2C solo hike. I really liked the distance / instruction format- very logical way to follow an often confusingly marked trail. Many times trail markers were few and far between or damaged and discarded so couldn’t be counted on but the guidebook was spot on. I also liked the pocket sized format- perfect fit for my shorts front pocket, making it very accessible. I also had some maps but found that I didn’t use them- too inconvenient to access and difficult to handle in the windy conditions. A great resource for this really stunning walk. Highly recommended! Just got mine today and contains very useful information to help you in your journey along the track. Craig Ackerly
I have been resisting doing the Cape to Cape for years based on mixed reviews from others. Reading your book has made me reconsider. A beautifully presented book with loads of very useful information that has filled in the gaps for me. I can see this being a must have companion for anyone considering walking the “Cape to Cape” track. Thank you so much for putting this together. Hedley
